May 26th, 2026

The WAD scanner has been upgraded to track and report on teleporters within a level. These are color-coded depending on whether or not a teleporter will send a player to that location.

Also, plans have changed slighty: instead of continuing on with SIGIL (which is apparently available in multiple versions) I've decided to stick with just the IWADs for now.

The rest of the maps in the modern version of The Ultimate Doom have been uploaded, largely finishing up that WAD.

In addition, a bug was discovered in the scanner - it has been corrected and all effected pages have been updated to reflect this change.

Today's update adds some of the articles that didn't make it to the website's launch, as well as maps and information about The Shores of Hell from the current version of doom.wad .

Also, a bug in the mapping code has been fixed: Lost Souls will now appear in the maps like they are supposed to!

Undead Kilobytes makes its debut as a Doom / Doom 2 focused resource, with all of the levels of Knee Deep in the Dead mapped out and scanned.

This initial launch is missing some planned features, but provides the basic idea of what's to come!
